The 4th Day of Christmas is dedicated to flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. As a rescue, we see them all the time. We rescue a litter of puppies that has been tossed in a dumpster and they're all flea invested. We save a dog and it's covered in ticks. And many of our adult dogs, such as Willow Justice, come into the rescue heartworm positive. The treatment is costly and can take a toll on the dog and why?
